A History of the National Union of Boot & Shoe Operatives 1874 - 1957 by Alan Fox.  First Edition published by Blackwell in 1958.
This is a first edition  hardback book. The letters are gold gilded on the spine. Originally published in 1958. The first page shows this was awarded to a worker in a shoe manufactuer in the 60s. A newspaper article was squirreld away, likely from the 60s, writing about the industry at that time. Providing a time capsule right into the 60s!
In very good vintage condition. The pages are tanned, as is to be expected from a book that is over 60 years old. However, the spine is solid with all pages in tact and still remain crisp.
